Managers cannot rely on authority alone to ensure that employees follow instructions. In this module, participants will learn how to communicate requests clearly and effectively, ensuring that employees both understand what is being asked and feel motivated to act. Effective communication is also a two-way process as managers need to listen actively to uncover any confusion or objections, and adapt their messaging accordingly. Since much of managerial communication takes place in meetings, it is also essential that managers know how to run meetings well, creating space for meaningful dialogue and collaboration.
